Dave Challinor

'obviously somethings happened since putting pen to paper'

Big money contract offered and whoooooosh!!!!!

Looks like his wives comments regarding more than money was him moving closer to his family than something wrong within the club in the short time since he signed his contract

I took them with a pinch of salt to be honest. I think it's all about the money, he signed a new contract three weeks ago. Let's be honest, it's only Stockport, you can be over there to see family within a couple of hours.

Whats the legal position when you sign a three year contract and then soon leave. I would have thought someone has to be pay Hartlepool sizeable compensation, say 12 month of the contract. Its usually the new club, but lower league might it be Dave Challinor himself?

Reading about Stockport, their owner is obviously investing some of his personal business wealth and is desperate for promotion. I would be shocked if he has not paid a significant salary for DC.

Was Dave Challinor to player with the big long throw, where he made a 10 metre run up at Prenton Park for some throw ins, which contributed to us losing a LC quarter final there?

Players receive dogs abuse from supporters of their former club when they do things like this.

I'd be aggrieved if I was a Pools fan.

If there are extenuating circumstances then as long as they are not too personal Dave Challinor should explain himself and not hide behind his wife's cryptic tweets.

Sometimes it can be sick elderly relatives living away from Hartlepool, but it must have happened in the last few weeks.

There was plenty of chanting at the Everton U23 Papa John game, and a fairly poor attempt at setting a flag on fire under the stand at half time.

Bizarrely a copper stood and watched them burn it for five minutes or so, then wandered off as they were trying to relight it.

What flag was it?

What flag was it?
It was crumpled up, it was blue, I assume it was a Dave Challinors Blue & White army type thing that they took to away games.

They also use 'our' Issiah Jones song which tickled me.

* for Luke Molyneux, which was more of a rhyming challenge.

I wonder if Neil Warnock would be interested in one last hurrah at the Suit Direct, he's a former player, has a house and family in the area, has intimated he'd be interested in a short term deal with a club, would bring experience and profile to the role plus a section of Boro fans would pop over to support Hartlepool when they could given the regard they hold for Warnock, he's not short of a bob and what better way of showing what he still has to offer than by doing a decent job and pushing Hartlepool on.

If he's serious about continuing to work then these are the kind of offers he's going to get and it might just be the perfect storm that leads to someone like Warnock at a club that usually wouldn't have any pull....
