Basically his ex partner, on Insta as brazilyoga, posted photos of herself all bruised up, pictures of the club basically telling her to get out of her accommodation at rockliff after he dumped her, pics of herself in hospital and a load of other info and allegations and details of the letters randolph's solicitor sent her. true or false, the club didnt cover itself in glory from the email exchanges she posted
Everyone takes the moral stance that you'd rather play more than be paid more, sorry but I just dont buy it. it's like when people say they will still go to work if they won the lottery. A tiny percentage do, but majority do it for a week until someone says something they dont like and then they walk out, or they realise they could die at any minute and they're wasting time at work.
You will never again in your lifetime have anywhere even remotely like the earning potential you have now, and will only have a few years left. but his lifestyle isn't going to change when his income dries up and money for coaching etc is peanuts in comparison. People will have houses to maintain, cars to run/replace, kids to take through education, partners to keep happy - many sportspeople go broke within a couple of years because they cant handle that cliff edge of income dropping. It's easy to say in their position you'd rather not be getting a bigger wedge and play more games, but in reality every penny you earn is going to have to last you the rest of your life, and I cant imagine many working 60 year olds being given the option of a larger pension or spending more time at work taking the latter option.
Yes he will hardly be pauper class, but why would he take playing more sport over a less secure financial future? Would make no sense at all. He's reached the top of his game internationally and he is at a team in the premier league, so he is professionally happy and secure. Three out of five premier league footballers go bankrupt after retirement, 33% of them get divorced within a year of retirement. I'd be wanting every penny I can get.
