300th career appearence for him on Saturday.

Great signing especially on a free. Marshalls the defence expertly! Calm, composed and overall just an excellent defender.
Next captain after Howson? Hopefully many. many more appearences for us and hopefully at the top level! Unsung hero of this side. UTFB

.......... and always first on scene with the celebrations after a goal, how the hell does he do it?

Totally reminds me of John Terry in his style of play. Right footed but prefers to play on the left in a 2 and comfortable on his left and great at diagonal left footed passes. Excellent on the ball. Dominant in the air, aggressive, great leader.

He’s been a fantastic signing. Love everything about his game.

I was very dubious when he first come, but he's showing some real qualities now. Wish him and whoever is playing alongside him popped up with a few more goals from set pieces but yeah, very good player and seems to be a massive part of the comradery at the club.

I was a bit concerned after the first 10 or so games. He looked no better than what we had, but his consistency since Wilder left has been very good. He deserves a crack at the top flight if we go up, but will be a big test of our defence. We are already shaky on occasions and playing a back 4 in the prem is a big test. Hopefully we have a chance to see how it goes next season.

I think he has the attributes to make the step up; he has excellent anticipation, can tackle and defends on the front foot. He's not the tallest, but that's something that is generally exposed more in the championship than the PL, given the way the game is played.

I don't think it's a coincidence that our centre backs and defense generally looks much more solid post Wilder. His main failing was he couldn't tailor his tactics to the strengths of our squads so was trying to make our defenders play in ways which they clearly weren't comfortable or suited.
