Daniel Sturridge

Just seen that he has become a free agent after a Turkish team terminated his three year contract. Considering our striker problems he has to be worth considering on a short term contract to help us stay up.

don’t think you can sign a player who was contracted at the end of the January window.

When were we last in the third tier - 1966? Sort it out! Sturridge? Yeah, come and play for us, boy. Not all this 'You can't have contracted players'. I'm saying get him in, get him up front. Let's get some goals.

Such a committed player.

"Lionheart" Klopp used to call him if I remember correctly.

Yeah he’s another who will do his absolute best not to play a game of football. Can’t stand players like that.

I’d not be surprised if he signs for an MLS team, although not sure on if they can sign players now the seasons started.

You forgot '86 already? :devilish:

Tottenham would be the obvious destination given their current injury situation and Sturridge’s love of a pound note.

And now we know the reason. He’s been banned from football until June due to gambling and fined 150K

That won't stop us. Given some of the clubs recent decisions we will probably give him a 4 month contract.

a global ban is the reason he has been terminated! He will be watching his former colleagues lift the title from his sofa and working out how to earn the £150K he has been fined.

Another waste of talent, if only these lads could realize what an incredibly fortunate position they are in, what's the average wage in the UK, approx. £26K, these lads earn that in a week.
Some don't perform, some lose the plot, whereas the rest of us plod on daily waiting for the weekend and watching our 'hero's' in action
