Dael Fry not training?

Ok . Whatever .
I don't actually think Dael is a bad player , he is a young lad with potential , and an England u21 .
If he stays I am happy with that , if he gets a better move good luck to him .

We need to add to fry nit sell him , Hel play far better under a proper manager that gives him the belief we can look at the right end of the table .
Unfortunately we need cash it seems , we just seem to devalue our accepts . Hopefully warnock wel end up with some half decent premier league loans after missing out on 4th division players and keep the likes of fry

He reminds me a lot of John Stones, another player people raved about over how good he was on the ball, but I think he's been found out. Think people place too much of an importance on defenders being good with their feet these days. I'm still a bit old-fashioned in the sense that above anything else I want a CB who is physical and can defend, especially in the Championship.

Know the guy who scouted John Stones for Barnsley- he also found Holgate and a lot of other players- said the best outfield player he had in the youth team was Mark Crossley...said it was completely by chance that they ended up putting him in net!

Selling a 22yo championship centre back rated at £5m+ to bring in a 25yo from league 2 for £1m

Maybe just sticking with Fry and playing him alongside Grant Hall would be better for us in the long run?

Warnock has said he wants to bring in another one or two signings (sounds like a keeper and a striker) and then have a look at the squad before bringing in loan signings.

One or two signings?! Have you seen the squad? We need seven or eight and then more loanees.

From what I've seen in the Championship there's an obvious lack of attack-minded CBs-- Fry has that certain quality about him in that area. Defensive capabilities have been average but at 22 what do you expect-- I remember the same of Gary Pallister -- folks criticising him for not being defensively minded. Fry has a lot to learn but the game has changed in the past 5 years -- many teams are Pep minded -- play the ball and get up-field which is why scouts from the EPL have tracked him-- although it's hard to say his current market value.

Is he on the picture day at Rockcliffe' video ('didn't see him), or any sign of him today?

There doesn’t seem to be any sign of him on any of the recent photos or videos released by the club. I suppose he could be injured but to not attend the photo day seems strange as the club promote him as the ‘local lad’.

Yeah his Mam gave Warnock a note asking if Dael could miss the first week of training because they were going on a family holiday to Filey.
Maybe he went to a destination where you now have to quarantine after returning from.

those saying they never rated Fry are mad, I mean come on he was holding his own in the championship and winning medals at U20 and U21 level, yet not good enough? Talk about an over reaction.

He had a poor season in an awful team, after missing pre-season and returning into a team in chaos. Individual, yes it wasn't a good season, but he has proven himself to be a better player than that.Maybe he'll never be the top prem league player that some predicted, but he can definitely become a top championship one.

It's a big season for him, I expect he will likely be here but if he goes to the prem, good luck to the lad.

If I were the manager, I’d have told him to hit the gym hard during lockdown and aim to start this season with half a stone more muscle on him. It would do him the world of good in both boxes.
