Curvature

I knew about the corner which is very odd in itself.

Didn’t realise - normally the whole of the ball out is out! Never seen this rule applied anywhere else.

Are the germans being punished for their protest!

It's always about the curvature of the ball. If even the slightest sliver of the ball is above the outfield edge of the line, the ball is still in.

It's perfectly possible you could see grass between the ball and the line, and the ball be in play

From the camera on the line, which they've shown a number of times then claimed not to have seen it, it shows that the ball stays in. Bare faced lies from the studio, or are they not seeing the images that we see?
It looks out to me from those camera angles.

No the rules of the games are being applied.

The full curvature has to be across for a goal so why wouldn’t it apply for corners, goal kicks and throw ins

I know the answer to this one. If they make the balls cubes rather than spheres it will be less of an issue.
Fifa wanted to do this but it would have meant that Edgar David’s would have had the rights to every wearing safety glasses.

They would have had to me mandatory due to the 8 points of the cube
