For a midweek game on Sky the numbers were good, but the first half atmosphere was really poor. I accept that it is a bit chicken and egg as the performance on the pitch was not electric in that first half, but sometimes the crowd need to be at it to lift the players and get them building an on pitch tempo. It was one of the few times I wanted to sing with the opposition when they were chanting “Is This A Library”

I think it has to be said that in reality it was bordering on a dead rubber match.

Good numbers though despite that and the atmosphere was excellent second half once Jones came on to liven it up
