Credit to the players

Yes, Warnock is quite rightly getting the plaudits. And yes, the players are responsible for where we were in the first place. But still, I think some credit is due to the ones still here at the end of the season.

They were down and out. By Warnock's own admission he didn't have much time to do anything on the training pitch, he mainly tried to give them a lift. Never once has he complained about their attitude I don't think. They have absolutely grafted for him. Those not prepared to do so have been ditched.

So credit where it's due I think. To turn that form around, with a squad seemingly shrinking by the week and makeshift defence is no mean feat. I don't think half of them are as bad as some like to make out. They just needed a proper manager and some direction. Most importantly they showed some fight. They deserved to stay up in the end.

Hopefully those here next year continue in that vein. Well done lads.
