Christ that was dull. That article only had to be 1 paragraph long. Is it perhaps because he just doesn't care enough because he's a Mackem?
 
Got nothing about him this writer has he. Just read it back and yep, it is really dull.
 
ah leave off the lad its a typo, AV and PT used to have typo's too.

I feel a bit sorry for him, he's obviously pretty young and he's had Warnock giving him grief at the start of the season and let's be honest they have to chern articles out at a stupid rate these days and there isn't a great deal to write about.

Fortunately it hasn't got to the point of a few seasons ago when they were writing theoretical articles on what the managers response would be to questions about transfers and certain issues with the team. It was essentially PT posing questions and then guessing what pullis's response would be to those questions. Was really weird.

Couldn’t agree more. Those were darker journalism days.
 
I agree they have too much stuff to churn out, but I imagine the Gazette's sales would plummet even further if they didn't have daily articles on Boro over something or other. A pre-weekend and post-weekend article from Johns would probably see the quality improve, then just have a Boro-related wordsearch the other days of the week

It's nothing to do with sales as the Gazette like all local rags don't sell anymore in numbers. The reason they churn out so many Boro articles is so people keep coming back to their website / app and thus increasing their revenue through online advertising. They don't really care about the quality of the articles, as long as people are clicking on it

yeh pretty much this. Think this is why I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt and not give them too much stick.

Click bate articles at the end of the day, quantity over quality.

I agree. We've definitely seen a dumbing down in the quality of main stream journalism since more sophisticated online revenue streams have entered the online world
