Why not?

We'll all have to pay for it at some point, sooner its done the better

EG

£0-£25k = 0%
£25k-£35k = 5%
£35k - £45 = 6%
£45k - £55k = 7%
£55k - £65k = 8%
etc etc increasing by 1% per £10k

anyone with dependants gets a reduction

Won’t be me, I’ll probably be unemployed. Took half a decade for my industry to recover after 9/11 and that was nothing compared to this. Airlines didn’t hire for nearly ten years.

We'll all be paying down the line. NYC where I am is skint. As to who pays. Well, good luck with the Uber rich

What a ridiculous post... It should be the highest earners paying for this not those at the bottom that have suffered enough throughout this.

Will the secretly hidden, off-shore, Cayman Islands channeled income be guaranteed still tax free and safe, along with any hush hush income from Columbian green ‘tobacco’ and the Cartagenian ‘special cake mixes’ that might be traded with in Amsterdam? (Asking for my mate)

It’s ok you’ll survive on your mountains of assets and the benefits you’ll claim.

I'm no where near the top and if as you suggest I start getting taxed further then all of a sudden I might as well be in a permanent lockdown. Bravo to you.

Completely different situation this time.
In what way other than it being worse? BA have never made compulsory redundancies in engineering before this year. They’ve even let all the final year apprentices go that were meant to start jobs this year. Even with the furlough scheme they are still losing over a million quid a day.

Tax hikes are inevitable.

Apart from paying the furlough bill, we'll be lumbered with replacing the billions the shower in charge have handed out to their mates and benefactors for dodgy ppe supplies etc.

Not to mention Brexit of course.

Only if the Tories want to be kicked out quicker than you can say Barnard Castle...
