Covid booster done today

Serious question. I seem to recall earlier advice here in France, that if you had recently had Covid it was inadvisable to have a vaccination/booster? Was I misunderstanding?

Any problems with people’s hearts are far more likely the result of repeated covid infections than the vaccine.
The Dr did actually ask if I'd had covid and if I'd had the vaccine. I thought it was an interesting question as usually most sources claim it has no effect on heart conditions.

I said yes to both. Then he just carried on chatting away like he'd not heard my answer😂

That said the CT scan said 'no further actions required' so take it I'm alright. Just felt a bit dodgy when on a treadmill. I've been fine since.

I'm probably going to have the 4th one. I've had covid 3 times although only felt rough the first time. The vaccinations may well just releave the syptoms more so than prevent actually becoming infected.

Don't forget to get yours if you are eligible, this thing is still with us.

Flu jabs too.

Big winter waves of both are expected.

Just got back from 3 day wedding which was at St Andrews last weekend. 95% of the wedding party have been struck down with it including myself and the mrs. Nightmare.

The jabs don't seem to give an active acquired immunity do they? The best you can hope for is that they make getting it (multiple times) less worse. Not sure it qualifies as a vaccine. Better safe than sorry, owt for nowt as you say but I can see the choice of not bothering as reasonable.
As I wasn’t put on a ventilator when I got Covid I’m going to suggest it has had significant positive impact on my health so will be getting the annual boost next month.

Last Saturday I had Omicron booster in left arm and flu jab in right. No issues whatsoever. Can’t see any reason why I wouldn’t have done this.

I got an Covid email and text and filled in the questionnaire and got a reply I did not have enough conditions etc for the vaccine at present.

It seems to be the over 70s and those with serious underlying conditions, at present.

I judge it as a part-vaccine, I agree a full vaccine would stop you getting it.

Over 65s, frontline health and social care workers and the vulnerable.

Anyone over 50 from mid October.

I did a LFT today. Result was negative but when I tried to enter the result to NHS site it wouldn't accept it because the test kit was one I bought and not a free NHS kit. Seems they don't want to know the data anymore.
