Coventrys new season ticket prices.

Anybody seen this.
Its basically £500 frozen at this price for 5 years, if Coventry get to the PL in that time you get a free season ticket in that PL season.

Everybody's thoughts?
I think its terrible, you have to watch Coventry City every home game and there is no Chairmans drink 👎

It makes sense for an adult I guess as the difference in price isn’t a lot but why would you pay £500 for a kids season ticket in the hope of a free ST if they get promoted instead of the usual price which is half of that?

It's an interesting idea.

I'd definitely renew at £500 this year, as it's the chance of a free season ticket when they're one game from the play-offs.

I'd probably just go for the £400 one in the 24/25 season though.

Looking at what I pay @ MFC its £480 plus free drink @ Boro and £400 @ Coventry - based on £5 per drink next season that makes Boro's season ticket about £35 cheaper per season. But I benefit from a renewer price and free drink. I also don't know what a non premium seat is at Coventry - I assume its still a good seat, not restricted view or low down.

The non-premium seats are most of the stadium.

You can also walk from Boro station and the town to the ground - instead of using the bus to take you 4.5 miles out of town to the stadium.
Incidentally, the station next the stadium on the Coventry-Bedworth-Nuneaton line is closed on match-days because the operator [LNW] cant provide a service with capacity for the crowds or service frequency required to shift 1000`s of people quickly. [Sounds familiar?]

Shows our prices are very reasonable at £480 and a free drink.

Theirs are £400.

The free drink isn't included for anyone new either, and it's only actually worth anything sizeable if you want to drink alcohol before every match.

If you're comparing their most expensive at £500, in which you get a free season ticket if they're promoted in the season you buy it, then ours is £641 with a free drink if you've been renewing for over 7 years.

I wasn’t comparing with our most expensive I was comparing with £480 and a free drink, the drink is say worth £4-5 a game to the consumer so you can knock £100 average off for your season ticket which makes it very reasonable.

No, you were comparing their most expensive with our cheapest.

The drink is only worth £4-£5 a game if you have an alcoholic drink at all 23 games, and it certainly won't be costing the club £4-£5 a game to offer that.
I get a bottle of water, the person I go to the matches with gets a bottle of coke, so that'll be significantly less than £100 "off", and I'm only getting the water because it's included.

Again, it's also only available if you've been renewing continously for over 7 years.

And some powdered beefy or chocolate drink certainly isnt worth a fiver a game.

I noticed bottles of pop have gone upto £3 and a pint of bud is touching a fiver now
