Coventry score from a CORNER

Always impressed by Klopp's title-winning Liverpool's team attention to everything - including the 'small things'.
Seemed to be deadly at set pieces - mainly by Van Dyke being unplayable.
(Don't like the scousers btw)

Makes me feel a bit flat and deflated when I see our terrible efforts at set-pieces.
Year after bloomin' year.
Surely it must be just as frustrating for those responsible for coaching/playing too?

I appreciate set-pieces aren't everything but I'd love to see us scoring more of these 'cheap' goals.
Perhaps more importantly, carrying a threat gets the crowd 'up'.
Much has been reported on yesterday's 'flat' atmosphere - we had nine (IIRC) chances to get the noise going

The importance of a set piece goal which then allows you to use your possession football to frustrate the opposition, force them to take chances rather than to sit back. This is how you get your 3 / 4 goal victories. The ultimate possession team, Man City, scored 14 times from set pieces last year from 38 games.

Nothing particularly special about their defensive strength on yesterday’s display but they didn’t have to be.
It’s pretty much the same defence they had last season and it was their speciality being strong by at the back and particularly CB. Has been for 3 or 4 years. We didn’t cause them enough problems but they made sure we didn’t too
