We have Fry, Clarke, VDB, McNair, with Lenihan still to return.

The article says “injury plagued” and “recently returned to training after 15 months out”. Why the &@&£ would we want someone like that? Would he be able to play Sat / Tues / Sat for the rest of the season? Not a chance.

Nothing against him personally but I hate these kind of articles. Sounds like it’s written by a Villa fan who wants Rogers and is wondering what extra shiiiiiite they can include to try and make us accept their offer.
 
i wouldn't pay more than 250k for him. he's hardly played at all and he is 28. in fact i wouldn't take him on a free

no way is it 8M plus this chump for Rogers
 
If he's part of the Rogers deal, presume it's to ADD a few million to whatever fee we'd get?
 
That article sounds like he's pulling players out of the air to suit what he thinks the club needs or an agent is trying to sell his player. The guy mentioned has been injured and only played 190 minutes in three appearances for Watford since the 2022/23 season.
 
This won't happen. He's injury prone, too old, and probably on high wages.

We're also well stocked at CB - Fry, Clarke, RVDB, Lenihan, McNair....
If McNair leaves, we still have 4 players for 2 positions. Bring in a young/cheap 5th choice from the lower leagues (like George Nevett from Rochdale), and we won't need to sign another CB for 2-3 seasons.
 
Genuinely not interested in any Villa cast offs as part of any deal with Rogers.

Buendia maybe 👀 alternatively I want mega potential - like Oroegbunam mentioned above.

No way should we be a dumping ground opportunity for them to slim down their squad getting rid of crocks.

Cold hard cash, and lots of it for Rogers or off you pop
 
There's absolutely nothing there even linking us to him, just reads like an opinion piece saying we "should" go for him and he would be a "deserving target" for us whatever that's supposed to mean.
