Country music

Speaking of Mr Cash............................................how good is this.

Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down

Love the Man In Black. He was dying when he recorded that album but he sounds like an old oak tree on that one. His take on this from the same album is a different matter. June had already died by that point, he's struggling for breath and he sounds like a broken man, lending the song even more poignancy...

Was having a particularly tough covid-induced down day yesterday. This came on Spotify and helped lift the gloom a bit. Music has been so important over the last 10-mths. I genuinely feel sorry for people that aren't into music and can't get the help from it that others can. As JI sings
"I hope you find something to love
Something to do when you feel like giving up
A song to sing or a tale to tell
Something to love, it'll serve you well"

16 Horsepower - Clogger. Would think this comes under the 'Alt Country' tag. Cracking song, almost scary to listen to 😮

I couldn't really call myself a country music fan, though I did enjoy the Ken Burns series, but I am a sucker for 16 Horsepower and Woven Hand.
