In order to make the last 4 you have to get the votes and cough up £50k
To make make the last 2 you have to cough up a further £150k

I do hope they are wearing nice suits and spectacles to make their pitch

Don't worry, I am sure that the businesses for which the candidates are non-executive directors for will not mind making a sizable contribution. All totally legitimate and above board of course.

I think she’s the one I would like to win, just out of a morbid curiosity to see how bad it can get for the Tories.
Who is favourite with the party members?

I'm assuming it's her given they're some of thickest, most bigoted people in the country?

Although she is black which will cause a problem for them.

I'd like Badenoch to win as well. I think it's fascinating that she seems to hate everyone and every interview and conversation is either toe curlingy passive aggressive or outright aggressive.

It would be interesting to see how long it took her to crack. I am not sure she would outlast Truss's 40 odd days as leader.

Badenoch is favourite with the members but she probably won't get to the last two

That’s what I think too. I find it strange how she is favourite with the members though as they tend not to be the most multicultural of types. Maybe it’s the vile things that she says that they like.

Ordinarily no, but she is pushing the bigoted scumbag angle pretty hard this week. It might help
From the Guardian why she might got get to the last two.

'First, because when MPs vote again next week, the 16 votes for Mel Stride (eliminated) will be up for grabs, and it is assumed they will go for someone more in the One Nation tradition rather than Badenoch, who is arguably the most right-wing candidate in the race (even though she has not adopted the hardest line on immigration and the ECHR).

And, second, it is assumed that Tugendhat (high chance) and Cleverly (low chance) are the candidates most likely to be knocked out in the next vote. That means, because of their politics, it is not thought many of their votes will go to Badenoch when MPs vote for the second time next week, on Thursday, to choose the top two from a list of three.'

That one cartoon picture kills off her chances. Oooh wait, maybe not, it is the Tories we are talking about and the milk snatcher got elected.
Talking about the milk snatching, why has no government since ever reintroduced it?
(I was glad btw, I hated the nasty warm stuff they made me drink).

Good question - for years, of course, milk was seen as important for kids nutrition. Lots of progress since then.
Bit similar to winter fuel payments for all pensioners - it will never be reinstated but was right in 97.

I don't know if it's a national or a local council thing but our school does free milk. It's only free until they turn 5 which is daft because someone in my daughter's class was 5 in the first week of school. Should be for all kids in reception.

Breakfast clubs being free is kind of an alternative because kids would be getting cereal and milk. I know some schools in poorer areas already do free or very cheap breakfast clubs.
