Seems quite a few across Europe are sending similar messages. Seems at odds with what @borolad259 mate is saying about Russia and their dwindling capacity.

Be interested in his view as to what's prompting this from politicians/generals etc.

I would have thought after wasting all their men, weapons and equipment in Ukraine, Russia would be less of a credible threat in years to come, not more of one? But then I'm no expert.
 
The ploy of the US far right - and everything that the tory puppets are doing is driven by the US far right in order to utterly subjugate its main European colony - is to keep the populace ignorant, confused, impoverished and afraid.
This conscription crap is just their latest tactic. The USA is already broken and they are now breaking the UK to mould it in its image.

I’d be happy to help in an administrative capacity if it came down to it but I’m in no shape to be running around on the front lines firing weapons as cannon fodder for enemy drones. It’s pretty much over if we get to the point of sending troops to fight the Russians or Chinese anyway.
 
Quite a few European countries probably do need a slap with a wet fish to wake them from their slumber as to what could escalate in the east - a little bit more urgency wouldn't go amiss, but any thought of door knocking for fit men of fighting age in the UK is for the the flag-shagging fantasists.

But it's another chance for the rolling news programmes to wheel out the 'should we have national service' story.

I wouldn't go to war for 'my King' either.
 
The Russian Federation are not going to invade the UK.

Obviously Putin wants Ukraine and Crimea to be allied with the Russian Federation and not part of NATO and/or the EU, and has used his armed forces to try and achieve this. He has mainly done this to strengthen his own political situation domestically and be seen as the defender of the Russian Peoples- Is that worth going to war about that is what people have to decide.
