Confirmation Crooks had hernia surgery

Confirms what a few on here have been saying.

We've gone from looking like a team that was struggling in midfield to one that now has some decent options, albeit we need options in the wide areas and who plays 10 if Chuba is out?

Crooksy may also be owed an apology off those who give him dogs-grief on here - again shouting from the hip without engaging the brain.

i'll give some of you a nudge - but have in mind future times you start attacking players to think if there may be something going on in the background.

Over the season we may not miss Crooks at all because of his hernia, as if he had played the games he missed he would probably been booked in those games , and thus his inevitable suspension would have come sooner.

Poor lad, He should have been taken out of the squad and allowed to rest and recover. we had other players that could have come on and played.

seems a very risky and silly thing to do.

Wow. I hope they haven’t rushed him back. Obviously he would have been very keen to play but a couple of weeks?

To be fair, if the hernia situation was affecting his performance that much, then he shouldn't have been playing.
The calls for him to be dropped/rested/operated on were probably valid.

Calls for him to be rested so he could get the op were valid as he wasn't up to his previous standards, but saying he was utter **** and a total donkey were not valid as he's obviously a good player.

Crooksy has been excellent value for money - how many midfielders have chipped in with a double figure goal tally in recent years ? We’ve had strikers who’ve got no where near his total last year, plus his ariel presence is very handy at set pieces both defensively and offensively. Three goals and i think two assists so far this season ain’t bad going when he’s
been playing with a handicap

Probably McGree although I'd rather have more of a forward in there (I like that Carrick's thinking was to play a striker in that role, whereas previous managers have more often than not tried to put midfielders in there).

Hoppe also potentially, played attacking midfield as a youngster. Or Watmore?

If we do bring in cover for it, ideally it'll be someone who can play another position. Maybe send Muniz back and look for a striker with similar attributes to Chuba, who can compete with both him and Forss?

I have a suspicion that Muniz' loan will end in January and we will loan another 10 and a wide attacker of two.

We suddenly look well equipped in every other position.
