It feels like more and more fans really unhappy with their owners, some right shambles about with concerns about their future. We went off track on and off the pitch for a while but god I'm glad we have Gibbo, always thinking about the clubs long term future.

Feels like he's got us back on track, regardless of the outcome of this season it's been a joy to since Carrick came in and we seem to have a decent structure in place to recruit wisely going forward. Been a good while since I've felt so positive about us. UTB!

I agree he has us back on track, thats why promotion this season is absolutely vital to our progress. Disaster is always lurking round every bend. If we go up, Gibbo can reinvest in the PL money and reduce personal debt. We could secure Archer, Ramsey, Giles and a keeper, whether that is Steffen again or someone like Henderson etc remains to be seen. Akpom would be retained and we could build on the squad to make our PL stay far more likely than not, do a Brighton if you will. However………..

Missing out would see Ramsey, Giles, Archer and Steffen return to their clubs with little hope of return. Villa want to sell Archer to reinvest, Ramsey will go on loan to a PL team, Giles will likely be sold by Wolves and Steffen, well his future is less clear. Mowatt may be affordable and Muniz unwanted. Add to that PL teams may well come after Akpom and Carrick too. All of a sudden you are looking at a complete rebuild from scratch and can we be as lucky in securing such pivotal loans 2 seasons in a row, its a big ask, hence why imho, so much rides on the play offs.

Our coin has too sides, both lead to huge pivotal impacts but in opposite directions depending on how it drops. The play-offs mean so much more to MFC‘s future than many realise.

I know where you are coming from but it’s more an opportunity to consolidate this particular high quality squad than anything, I still think our long term future is looking solid just now.
