Clarksons Farm season 3

Episode 4 is one of the most traumatic episodes of a true life TV show I’ve ever seen
Indeed - a side of Clarkson we don't normally see as well.

Fair play - they could have just continued with the usual style of programme, but to show what farming is really like in this context really hit home

Haven't seen it, I won't see it because I'm vegan, why was it traumatic?
I understand your reasons for not watching but I think you would be surprised at how the show handles the realities of farming both crops and animals. The issues in that episode were a number of piglets dying in the hours and days after being born and them having to put down one of the older pigs.

He was on On Your Farm (R4) last Sunday - came across really well (all things considered). I remember his Car Reviews writing in the Sunday Times, before he became the brand Clarkson, so to speak - he was very witty in a David Mitchell sort of way. All went pear-shaped as we know but he seems to discovering something in himself.

I agree with the comments about how well it was put together, and it was the last thing I expected from that show. You could really tell how much it was effecting him too.

I don't want to watch animals being exploited for our consumption, I've seen the documentaries to make the step to be vegan, I don't need to watch more of it.
Triple thumbs up. I'm veggie and wouldn't watch this. I've seen worse in real life not on b00ll0x look at me clarkson cr@p.

BTW if you want to know what I'm talking about a few documentaries to watch, if you can watch them all and not even think of going vegan then there's something wrong with you

Nope - happily continue eating meat thanks

I’m not in any way judging meat eaters etc (I was one for 38 years!) but I don’t really understand why a farmer would be gutted about piglets dying. They were getting sent to the slaughterhouse eventually.

I’m not saying he wasn’t being genuine, I just don’t really understand it. Haven’t watched it, mind.
