Good argument mate. You might not remember him missing that absolute sitter a few games back. Or being absolutely dreadful for most of his career. But I do. As do Hull, Arsenal & Brighton (who voted him in their worst ever XI) fans.

But he’s been half decent against Preston so carry on. I’m willing to bet he’ll never hit double figures in his career.

Fact is, if we weren’t absolutely ***** at the moment he would be nowhere near the squad. He jogs around waiting for things to fall for him and only scores when it’s practically unmissable. In fact, even then, it’s still probably 50/50 whether he’ll put it away or not.

I’ve seen more than enough of him to know he’s robbing a living and he’ll cost us time and time again this season.

He’s scored 9 goals in 47 games for us. That’s one every 5 pretty much. Assombalonga was far better than that and you’d be hard pushed to find a Boro fan who says he was a success here.
