Chris Willock

Kind of pleased. Think Willock is a Ramsey lite type of player and our recent Brazilian and South American forays haven't exactly been successful!

You can argue he is less suited to that role, but he's played it more than he has played more advanced. 69 CM or CMD appearances.

He wasn't strong enough defensively to play central in a midfield 3. There's no way I would have him in a midfield 2 so all those appearances mean very little.

Akpom has loads of appearances as a centre forward but he scored as many last season in a 10 as the rest of his career as a 9. I wouldn't want to see him leading the line.

I hear what you are saying but he was a year younger and had hardly played any games at this level when we played him there. Worth another shot for me, especially in games where we have high possession

If we end up with Seny Dieng & Chris Willock... SimplyRed wins KING OF THE TRANSFER WINDOW 2023
I'm Not taking any glory for Dieng or Willock Newy ! ?
Both not my recommendations ?
Ethan Horvath / Ben Wilson /Dominic Livakovic would be my choices for keeper .
Illias Chair / Diallo / Pellistri / Hannibal AM RW LW
I still think we lack proven quality as none of the new boys have it ,
Tom Davies , Ryan Manning , Branthwaite , Simms , Maupay & Shankland would do me.
and a mix of the others

All the qpr fans are saying he was once a great player. Yet his hamstrings are 'shot'. 42 appearances in 2 seasons is woeful.

A pacy direct player will struggle with longterm hamstring issues. Just seems like an issue waiting to happen.

We've signed crocks before. They usually don't suddenly get fit. Grant Hall springs to mind.

To be fair if you can get to the root cause of those muscle injuries you can reduce them. Ripley used to get all the time, he was eventually given a specific training regime to strengthen certain areas, like his hips. He never really had those issues again.

No sign of Willock in their training pics , Chair and Dykes prominent.
Means nothing , Dieng WAS in the pics .
Chair looks serious ? The Boro Taxi was late to pick him up ! I wish !
