Maybe he doesn't want one?

Perhaps in contrast to Warnock and Pulis he's more bothered about his actions/results speaking for him than telling the media how he's brilliant or how he's going to have to work with one hand tied behind his back.

In fact refreshing contrast that he genuinely seems honoured to have the job. As opposed to the other two who also had to imply they were doing us a massive favour taking it on and wouldn't have been anywhere near it if it wasn't for Gibson.

Agree with that. I like how buzzing he is to be at the club. With Warnock the way he would go on you would think he was bigger than the club at times when he absolutely isn’t.
 
I think Wilder’s response has been great. Nobody’s knocking that are they? I’d like the club to have given him a better welcome. Fuss over him. He might not need it but for me that’s just good bottom down management.

I'm sure there's been plenty of that in behind the scenes discussions. He said Gibson phoned him personally to say he wanted him. I assume given the timeframes involved that it wasn't a case of him applying for the job either, we actively identified him as the man we wanted and made an approach, that says a lot to begin with.
 
It does. A united showing also unifies the fan base behind the decision. It’s nit picking, I don’t dispute that but I think it’s something that would’ve helped.

I think you have forgotten too soon how the last manager had covid. He recovered very quickly but without immediate expert medical intervention, a lot of physio and some degree of luck the outcome might have been different.
The club have been exceptionally cautious ever since, looking after the staff, footballing and non footballing as well as their duty to the reporters etc.
The shock of Neil Warnock getting Covid and he thought probably contracted at Rockcliffe (he took incredible precautions when out and about) as well as many non playing and playing staff means they are being exceptionally cautious.

Not at all. Do we live like this forever? Newcastle managed it yesterday. No reason why we couldn’t.

Funnily enough it is possible we can get more media through zoom than normal press conferences. It is greener too.
Am not saying these two things are the reason because they are not but interesting to speculate whether we can attract more journalists etc and whether it also better for the planet.
