I'm not going to hold my breath for any political reform soon. Not with the two sets of shysters currently in their closed-shop two horse race.

Now that I'm without a representative political party after being Labour all my life, I'm seeing beyond the shytehawks who are supposedly on my side.

I can see good points in some politicians involved in other parties which I'd invite to form an independent cabinet behind Rory Stewart.

I don't know a lot about Stewart's history of voting for dodgy issues whist being a Tory, but I did have a feeling he was quite genuine and likeable when running for the Tory party leadership contest..

He seems to have a heart based on his reasoned explanation of the current situation in the Levant speaking to Alister Campbell.

So, following on from the recent discussions on best combined Sunlun/Boro team, I thought it may be fun to pick our best fantasy gouvernment.

I'll start off with:

PM - Rory Stewart
Deputy - Jeremy Corbyn.
Transport Secretary- Mick Lynch.
Housing Minister - Caroline Lucas.
Defense Minister?
Education?

Feel free to change or add your own but we don't want to be vulnerable on the left or right.

Rory Stewart was easily the outstanding Tory candidate for me and seemed to be the only one remotely concerned with serving the interests of the public over his own party. He speaks very well about complex issues and importantly has real experience of working in high pressure politically important roles outside of central government. The comments he’s made since leaving about MP’s being put in charge of departments they’re in no way qualified to run highlight one of the major issues with the way government works in this country. I’d never be happy with a Tory government but if he had won, I’d at least believe we had a Prime Minister with the right intentions.

Stopped reading when you mentioned you have no idea of Stewarts voting record whilst an mp.

Essentially you have picked based on personality. That's exactly what's wrong with politics,and what got us johnson.
