Child branding by Teesside drug gangs

I saw something about this the other week, it could be tattoos like in Concentration camps or depending on the brutality of the gang it could be branding as in happened to slaves.

I read a comment from someone thinking they kit them out in a certain type of trainers/clothing.. I think its much worse than that by the sounds of it.

Is this branding as in applying a brand to them like you would cattle or branding as in giving them a t-shirt with the company logo on?

One of them is much more sinister than the other. The Bloods and the Crips wear red and blue.

My assumption was it was some sort of 5h1t tattoo similar to american gang tattoo's.

If it is genuine branding with a red hot poker then that is horrific.

The article doesn't go into too much detail but the branding was described as;

"there are children locally that are going around that are branded"

"branded physically with marks on them".
