I don't think UEFA, etc. will. I can't see them wanting to inflame the situation and antagonise these clubs with punitive measures. Maybe some sort of sanctions against the individuals involved, but stripping points and CL/EL places from the clubs themselves I doubt will happen.

I’ll be honest, before this weekend I didn’t really know anything about it, but from the little I’ve seen this past few days, surely we should be pushing for the German method of club ownership.

Generally we’ve been very fortunate with Gibbo over the past 35 years, but he’s not gonna be around forever, and during the past decade we’ve seen plenty of great clubs struggling due to poor ownership.

Would this model protect our club for future generations?

I would still dock them points for the threat of leaving.

Just to be accurate, they weren't threatening to leave their domestic leagues, rather the various authorities involved were threatening to kick them out if they went ahead.
