Cheese Awards

We don't need this. We produce them here and eat all that is produced here then all is good. Why does EU need to know about all our good cheeses , they wont order them anyway. Instead of having perceived ideas of riches by having an EU order book, our manufactures should be happy with moderate volumes and good profits through local consumption. Anyway isnt it a hassle of all hassles and expense just to ship any food product out of these shores.

Pretty confident we do actually export cheese like. I’m also pretty confident the guys exporting it aren’t doing it just for fun.

But that’s a nonsense thing to say

Total UK cheese exports were almost up 15% on 2021. In value terms, these were worth £785m in 2022, up 39% on 2021, with the majority (80%) heading to the EU. Compared to 2021, cheese shipments to non-EU markets decreased by 3.6% in 2022, mainly due to reduced demand in China and Hong Kong.

I have return from a cheese shopping expedition. Mature Chedder and smoked Austrian cheese is now on the shelf, with fresh bread.

He knows it’s a nonsense thing to say. He’s either in a wind up or he’s a brexiteer. If it’s the latter he knows he’s lying now. They all know they’ve been lied to but carry on the lie because brexiteers are just horrible
