Charlton's Champions - film

Great documentary. Loved Jack’s incentive for winning the game by two goals and the “ticket office”! How times have changed.

Great looking back - seems like yesterday

Few observations:

Fans singing "H'away the lads" and "You'll never walk alone"
How involved Big Jack was
The tea and coffee vendors walking around the pitch
Lot's of Old blokes doing jobs around AP
I remember that blonde girl selling programmes behind Boys End (As a kid always thought she looked lovely)

Yeah, I was in the Boys End that day. Euphoric. The little behind the scenes at AP segments are amazing .... such different times. And Big Jack's car :)
I kept thinking I was seeing myself in the crowd as we all seemed to have 70s feather cuts and wore parkers as teenagers.

Great documentary, I have that on one of my videos from over 20 years ago, great to see again

Notts County at home was the only game I missed that season, the previous September, with the school, I had booked to go to London for the weeked & take in a match at Wembley , England v France schoolboys

The part when Bernard Gent is talking to the fans before the game & the players are in the centre circle with the flowers when Alan Foggon runs over & hands his flowers to a lady Boro fan I asked TTTV if I could use that footage in my demolition of AP video, which they agreed as long as I acknowledge it, which I did

Brilliant. The pitch side catering, never expected the announcer to look like that and Cliff Mitchell and the reporters on the phones! McMordie's final Boro appearance. Was Souness injured?

that was absolutely brilliant, happy days. Looked like just about everybody smoked then as well, does anyone know who the Scottish coach was doing the warm up ?

Souness was suspended for one game

I think that was Ian Macfarlane doing the warm up.

Remember that game like it was yesterday - I was in a green Parka with tabby fur trim hood that every school kid had then along with long hair.

I didn't realise how cold it was - you could see people's breath - it was April 6th.

Thanks Borolad259 for posting up.
