I'd always assumed that people stopped wearing hats when hair got good, but this photo is pretty much definitive proof that is not the case. There are at least two decades where people had terrible hair and yet did not wear hats. It is one of the great mysteries of our age.

I remember being at 2 in a row 4-0 away games against West Brom and Fulham then a 4=0 home win against Notts County but not sure if it was the next week.Might have been a couple of weeks later.
I remember that chant of Boring boring Boro ringing around away grounds all over the country.
Had some wonderful years following them but apart from Winning the Carling Cup and Uefa Cup final but my greatest memories are following Jack's team.
Closely followed by Bruce Riochs boys and Stan Andersons 3rd div team.
Such happy memories and I hope I get some to come.
