Looking forward to watching it tonight.

More entertaining than Manchester United scraping past Barnsley.

Don't forget Juve v PSV to get things going at 17:45 (y)

This might the first year I forgo the goals show actually as there's a pretty big game every night. Shame it involves Liverpool tonight though.

Didn't know BBC had highlights show. Thanks for heads up.
Will at last be able to see some Euro football. Will record and watch it in the mornings.

Still won't be watching it. Never been interested in European football since we were beaten by Seville. Can't remember the last Champions League game I watched

It’s just football to me, in general I don’t pay much attention to anything outside of the 90 minutes of play. I know there’s some reasons people have for not liking the CL but to me I just like chilling on an evening with a game on whatever the competition.

A strange comment from Clattenburg last night on how the Ref should give Milan a couple of free kicks to get the crowd off his back.

"Clattenburg replied: “I think the first one is definitely a free-kick," the former referee said, remarking on a contentious decision during Prime's coverage of the game.

“I just think he needs to calm the crowd down, the crowd are against him. They have been putting pressure on him, we saw that with the penalty shout before that.”

He added: “I think the ref just needs to give one or two small fouls to get the judgement back.”

I watched the first half was ok, The commentator kept bigging it up , can't see me watching many more , Champions league! every tom,d*ck and harry league would be more apt.

It’s like Mike Dean suggesting that because it was the North London derby, then the ref should use a higher threshold before issuing a second yellow to any player. Surely if the foul warrants a yellow then that is what should be given.

Glad it wasn't just me. Absolutely astounding thing to say. Was he aware he was being broadcast?

The referees job is not to manage the crowd or even to diffuse tense/techy situations. It is to referee the match as per the laws.
