I heard the manu supporters on talksport this week looking for carrick saying he ihs doing great work here are we ready to let him go & who will come in to replace him maybe the return of Leo to steady the ship again until someone comes.

Man U have to learn changing the manager is not the answer. They've tried it multiple times and gotten much the same result.

When MC was being questioned at the start of the season, I said we needed to break the cycle of changing out manager every Autumn.

Man U have a similar situation. They get a new manager who starts quite well, but then encounters some difficulties, and they sack him. They will never get back to what they were by doing that. Sir Alex would not have been given the 3 seasons he needed to win his first trophy in the modern game.

Manchester United have been in touch and offered to ruin his promising management career within 18 months.

He has already done it once and as I recall had 3 games as manager won two and drew the other.

He decided to quit in the hope we would come in for him and in due course we did. So we have no need to worry about him going back there!

It's a poisoned chalice now, the expectation of Manchester United fans can no longer be met by the club and so no manager will ever be deemed good enough.

It’s not the right time for him yet. If Radcliffe and / or someone else puts the money in to sort out the stadium and facilities as well as replacing anyone behind the scenes who isn’t doing a good enough job, then Carrick should have a few more seasons of experience and be ready to step up.

MC. 14/1 to be the next ManU manager last week.

I've not got a daft quid on it. MC needs to really make a name for himself first and, I suspect, he's intelligent enough to know where the Man U problem actually lie and sees something actually done about it. He's a winner and when he does go to Man U he'll want to do it on his terms.

He needs to win stuff here to avoid ‘Doing a Lampard’

I think Carrick has been around Man Utd enough in coaching roles etc to know it’s not a job worth taking right now

Fair play to those manu fans knowing all about Leo.

He has a good record in management at Man U, won 2 games drawn 1 game.
Why should he risk all by going back now to a club there there is such a lot of deadwood to be cleared out ?
Michael Carrick has years of management to enjoy. No need to rush into a proverbial millstone.

Good that he is in turning around our squad and giving us some great and attractive football he is still learning his trade.

Difficult enough to do that in the Championship, silly to try it In the PL.
