It's clickbait based on comments from an article released before Cooper was sacked, the interview itself was probably well before that.

They'll not be looking to the Championship for a replacement.
 
Since yesterday, freelance sports journo James Quinlan, has had 10 articles published with topics including Real Madrid, Liverpool, Mikel Arteta, Arsenal, Gyokeres, Graham Potter, +++ [Writer in the Leicester Mercury link at top of the thread]
He's not the regular Foxes writer and is just regurgitating what's floating in the media ether.
Nowt much of any substance. He quoted Graham Potter earlier as well.
Amie Wilson is much better informed and close to the club. She's also a Lesta fan and a lot more informed.(y)
 
Reach plc will always write about things like this with a local interest in North East and East Midlands, it exists to turn a profit.
 
At some point I imagine Carrick will leave but I just cant see it happening for the foreseeable future. I think he is quite proud of the fact he is developing the players and that the club are allowing him to develop. I would imagine if he was in the prem last year with the start we had he would have got sack at a lot of clubs. We can be like Brentford and build into a decent semi established prem team. If he outgrows us he will know he needs to leave. That time isn’t now though. He hasn’t really achieved anything yet.

Yep. It has zero credibility these days the gazette.

Very far removed from the newspaper of years ago. Shares a name, that's about it.
