We all read different things into interviews etc. Even when we hear the same words, we interpret based on our biases/knowledge.
FWIW I thought he sounded slightly ruffled for the first time (still calm by most standards though). He seemed mildly annoyed with the question about the comparison with last season, and I thought it came across as strange when he referenced the lack of patience in the game. No question, he is feeling the pressure.
I still think he will turn it around and the team will gradually improve over the season. Carrick is a smart guy and a good communicator. He will be a Premier League manager but this is a massive test. We need to reset expectations, scrap for 2 or 3 wins and go from there. Mid table (with the current squad) is acceptable, as long as the trajectory is upwards.
