Carrick is first team coach - not manager

Makes no odds unfortunately. He'll carry the can if results don't improve.
I like Carrick and think he'll have a good career in management, but he's perhaps a bit too inexperienced to do much with this squad. I'm sure they're all decent lads and they are trying their best, but in terms of quality they aren't a patch on last season's squad. They might come good eventually, but Carrick will have been let go before then.

I think our squad is better then some squads, the same as most spuads and not as good as a few other squads, it comes down to the head coach or manager to get the best out of what he has got, some are doing that, unfortunately at the moment MC doesn't seem to be, is he able to, I hope so but time will tell.

Yes, because it certainly can't be anything to do with Kieran Scott, can it?
I didn't absolve anyone, but managers/coaches are the first to go when teams don't win.
I've expressed my concerns about Gibson and the running of the club over the years and it has always been the man in charge of the first team that has gone.

WTF is that supposed to mean? Is this your way of exonerating him. Are you Carrick's Mam?
No I’m highlighting that whoever comes in has to work under this frame work so carrick staying or going won’t change any thing for the better.

He’s working with hand he’s been dealt.

Basically don't blame the new fans favourite blame some other guy.

Carrick has said a number of times we work as a team so he has a say in signings

He said he was very happy with the squad

I think he was lying. This squad is inept

I agree mate Carrick has essentially 0 impact on the team I've said this before.

He's only the head coach, he's only over seeing training, doing tactics, picking the team, picking the style of play and giving the OK to the signings we make.

Outside of that he's not got anything to do with the club really, more of a talisman if anything because I'm sure we'd have 0 points if he wasn't head coach.

What i meant is he is part of the problem that team and performance today was *****

That’s his job title, and it’s that way for a reason.
As you will know Jedi, I and a small select band have been telling the board this for years, the disbelievers denied it as they denied gifts were ever given to head coachs, these gifts that may have been different to the presents they were expecting or hoping to receive. A bit like a kid on Christmas day unwrapping your gift hoping for a new Johnny 7 One Man Army but finding out you had an action man and a Sammy The Spud Gun.

Southgate being given the wondrous present of Alves (stated by Southgate but denied by a lamb)
AK was showered with many unrequited presents like Forshaw, Rhodes, Downing, Gestede, he was expressly open on his thoughtless thoughtful gifts, but still the fans were in denial, becauseit was Aitor The Bad. Now though, we have someone in place who was headhunted for his expertise in football recruitment. The only problem was, who did the headhunting, turns out it was the same man that headhunted Victor Orta back in the day.

Ah well, happy days, without such intervention, we’d never have got to see Uncle Tony’s top talent I suppose, clouds, silver linings and all that 😢

Whats your point? That was along time ago.

Without Rhodes, forshaw and downing would we have went up? Alves was a good striker who like the manager had the rug pulled away in rochemback

My point is people are not left to do their jobs they are employed to do. They get too much involvement and interference from on high, involvement that should not be happening in a successful multi-million industry. Do you think the Chairman of M&S tells the organisation which foods to sell?
