Cardiff after Uche

Wish him all the best, but I doubt he will play a competitive game for us again, he offers something different but I trust Wilder to do the right thing for Boro

I think he will do alright. Probably won't score many (never has) but he's an absolute mare to play against.

I think the likes of Cardiff are ideal. A big physical team who love setplays and a guy who launches a throw in from the Halfway line.

I'd rather have kept him and maybe loaded out Coburn. Yet I can see the logic as Uche on more money and don't have to register Coburn in the 25.

I know we wanted a permanent. Yet it may work in our favour if he score 5-6 and a few clubs want him.

Poor decision,we no longer have any sort of physical presence at the top end of the pitch, when required.

You wouldn't wonna be a CB paring facing Hugill and Uche as a top 2.

Throw in Morrison and Flint and setplays will be mare😂

Crooks is more of a goal threat.

Ikpeazu is great at holding the ball up, but he's not actually that great with his head or scoring in the box.

Crooks can be the plan B.

It must of come down to the lad himself wanting to go , wanting more game time .
fair play, he’ll be missed

He looks the type who'd want to go and and play.

I'm sure Warnock said he was bought for under the reported 750k and loads of add ons. He's maybe getting close to another clause kicking in.

Personally I would have kept him as a plan B
Not sure you can get out of this division with 4 similar strikers tbh.

Fulham have Mitrovic
Bournemouth have Solanke/Moore
Blackburn have Brereton
QPR have Dykes/Austin
WBA have Dike/Carroll

Cheap squad player with a very clear and defined role. 10 minutes left and need a big man? He’s perfect. Don’t think getting rid was the right choice.

I don't think our style of play will ever rely on "needing a big man" (whether rightly or wrongly).

I think Wilder is a believer in the system, if it's not working with those on the pitch bring someone from the bench who can fulfil the role but perform better.

Good move for us. Reckon the “Championship Lukaku’s“ price might go up playing for Cardiff. (y)
