Caramac Axed after 64 Years

Noooo! - I've loved Caramac ever since discovering back in the early 90s that the vending machine at Acklam 6th Form College would dispense two for the price of one if you pushed the selection button twice in quick succession!

That Cadbury's Caramilk stuff is rank in comparison.

Surely the headline should be Caramaxed?

I don't really care; however, the dark chocolate Bounty needs reinstating immediately.

There’s a definite ring of cancel culture in this thread…

Just because you don’t like it, no one’s forcing you to eat it… shame on you all…

Parmaviolets though…they’re a crime against humanity, burn them all 🔥

😉

I quite liked Caramac, though I won't miss it.

But the sweets they should get rid of are:

Parma violets - taste of soap
Maltesers - teachers get loads of these and I know for a fact they all hate them, though even they are not as bad as those disgusting "Thank You" chocolate flowers that Cadbury's put out a few years ago
Cadbury's creme eggs - just thinking about them makes my teeth hurt

But most of all, most of all, those horrible gelatine things in Licorice Allsorts covered in little blue and pink balls that are always the last ones left in the bag. You want to throw them away but always end up eating them even though they're nasty and will leave a disgusting taste in your mouth for ages afterwards.

Never understood the bad press around Parma Violets

I probably scoffed half a dozen mini packs of them out of the little 'un's Halloween haul, thoroughly enjoyable

Goddamn it Nestle, i'd only just started to get over you axing Toffos and now you're taking Caramac away from me?

That Cadbury version is awful btw. But so is most Cadbury nowadays (Darkmilk and Double Deckers are an exception.)
