Specific topics? Or is it just people?

The incessant and painful discussions over corona virus on places like here and Twitter is depressing. Which is why I have tried starting normal threads. Come on people life has to go on. (For those of us who don't die of a lung dysfunction that is)

Sorry mate but the sooner you accept that life isn't just going to go on, the easier it will be for you!

TBF its a football board. What do you want to talk about football-related? There is none.

No, but people will be pre-occupied with it until the number of cases stops growing exponentially. This is the key thing that people are missing when they compare it to common flu etc.
 
I’m missing nothing and I’m aware it’s bad but you can’t just shut down and get hysterical about it. Whether you want to or not life DOES have to go on. Be conscious of it and take action to prevent the spread but this mass hysteria is totally unhealthy . We have to operate as normal as possible but looking at this you’d think we all just had to sit around and wait to be infected.

Not sure anyone on here is hysterical. But everyone is pre-occupied because all the usual distractions (football/cricket/F1/music etc) are now no longer happening. Life, of course, goes on, but it will be a different sort of life until we have it under control.

When we're all in isolation life definitely won't just 'go on as normal'.
 
It has to for some people though. Food suppliers? Energy companies? We make a vaccine to fight leukaemia. I wouldn’t want any of that to just stop.
You might be in a position to stop everything and isolate but not everyone is. We have to work out how to carry on.
I refuse to just give up
 
It would help in general if people could resist posting new threads and just contribute to those already there. That goes for all topics, not just Corona virus ones.
I am sure, with just a few seconds thought, that you could find an existing topic that would benefit from whatever thought you'd had at any given time.
 
Here's a question for folks.... sorry if it's been asked before....

When you click on 'reply' and start to reply to someone, and then change your mind. How do you get rid of the text in that reply box?

I've tried deleting it, but when I click out of the thread and back in, it reappears. I've tried clearing my cache, but that hasn't worked either.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is anyone else bothered?.... or am I just odd?

Yeah none of those things will carry on 'as normal'. They will carry on, but not as normal. No one is in a 'position' to just isolate.

Appreciate your're trying to 'inspire' us all, but I think its probably futile.
 
I’m just being discharged from hospital and have copd and other ailments, I can’t carry on as normal

I’m with the OP. I’ve stopped reading tabloids and watching the news for this reason. Over information. Conflicting information and too many pessimists for my liking. I don’t care if you may be correct I’m sick of reading incessant gloom and doom.
