In all seriousness it was the best club emblem in the country, I'm not entirely sure why we changed it in the first place!!

Think you're right.

I've a Boro top from the 88-89 season from Jack Hatfields, same badge but with the 1986 taken off - job sorted.

We have an anniversary coming up in 2 years. It could well be that the badge issue will be revisited for then.

Easier solution: keep the 1876 badge as a corporate badge like Liverpool do, and bring back the MFC lion used pre-1986 as a kit badge.

I'm organising a separate protest about the badge. The plan is to boycott the first 30 mins of Saturdays match.
