Definitely defence on top. I'm sure they both would have settled for a point but it didn't really play out like that. Both had some good attacking and attempts.

Key difference is that they didn't overload in attack which meant once attacks did end, they were well positioned/organised without the ball. Something we would do well to learn from.

Good attacking and attempts?
I had the match on my tablet but lost interest after about 20 mins and started watching the tele as well so can’t be definite
However the match stats at the 85 minute were 4 shots each and none on target
Touches in each others box were in single figures
If that’s the football you’d be happy watching then sorry you are missing something
 
I'd take watching a tense 0-0 in a game where I am a neutral over a 4-1 where both teams were going for it.

There is something riding on every decision.

This game was incredibly cautious and not the best watch - but I was still interested in every cross, pass, deflection, and set piece until the end.
 
Looked like a game of football where the outcome had been agreed before kick off. It was a horrible watch.
 
I see they put 50+ games to farm the engagements from Leeds and Burnley fans....when Enzo Maresca averaged 2.10 points per game in a full season...

Not like SkySports to manipulate stats to fit their sh*t narrative.

Fair, I meant there were some decent attacking moves but frequently broke down in the final third due to defences being on top. Not sure if that figure above includes blocked shots but I seem to recall a few of them.

For me, that's the beauty of footy - there isn't one way to play the game, different teams, different styles etc. Seeing how a team sets up and plays is just as interesting as the actual goalmouth action but maybe that's just me ha.

Wow, each to their own but I'd say that's a pretty niche viewpoint 😂

Think you can safely describe yourself as a purist.

I understand them excluding managers with less than 50 game because it excludes all the managers which only managed for one season and got a big total. There's quite a few yoyo clubs who have done that.

Karanka had 222 points from 123 games at 1.80 PPG but presumably his time with Birmingham and Forest drags his average down.

Carrick has 171 points 106 games at 1.63 PPG

I think it’s a statement meant to let us all know what a great knowledge of football he has
 
Have a pal who’s a Burnley fan. Watched the game with five other fans on tv. He was the only one awake at seventy minutes.
