British troops in Gaza?

I think you'd be terribly naive to not think that British Special Forces aren't monitoring the likes of HAMAS et al in the region. The same way that there will have been an influx of grown men with British accents in the Donbas region 18 months ago.

Corbyn's just sticking his nose where it isn't needed.
He isn't talking about monitoring though, so it is a very pertinent question.

He comments that the only route out of this endless cycle of violence is the end of the occupation of Palestine.

Anyone know from his past comments what he sees as the alternative. Is he proposing that the State of Israel ceases to exist.

As a Member of the British Parliament he has the right to ask questions and hes the only one who`s had a consistent position on Palestine and calling for a ceasefire since day one.

Exactly this. You might even argue that's what he's supposed to be doing! Whether you agree with questions asked by MPs or not, it is absolutely what they should be doing in order to scrutinise this, or any other government.

Some people seem to want us to live under an authoritarian regime.

He’s asking a very good question and, frankly, we have a right to know where our forces are being deployed.

It’s got firk all to do with us and could endanger people in this country if hamas sympathisers were to take action.

Agreed. If Government is about transparency, they have to be held accountable and power has to be held to account for our sakes. Without that accountability we have what Hannah Arendt [*] describes as the beginning of Totalitarianism. Asking controversial questions, vocalising about issues which may be unpopular or challenging - are all important components of the democratic process. Once we abandon those processes and silence dissent and protest, we are on a dangerous road. Closed ears and eyes lead to the rise of dark forces. Without questioning, even at the cost of being struck, we open the door to authoritarianism and tyranny.

[*]For those interested: Hannah Arendt was a German Jew, who was interned by the Nazis. She, escaped from a German Concentration camp in France and remains a major political philosopher and influence today as she was of her time.

This is worth a read:

I would argue that in an open forum such as parliament the government shouldn't answer a question like that. Wouldn't it jeopardise security.

Parliament is exactly the place this needs to be discussed, in a transparent and open environment where people can be held accountable for their words and actions

Hamas have already killed British citizens on 7th October so doesn’t that mean it’s got something to do with us.
