I’m not debating the economic issues of leaving the EU as that’s a separate issue, I was arguing that “the Eu” kept the peace argument as it’s rubbish.
 
It’s odd that NATO has many of the flaws that the Brexit campaign said were problems with the EU but Conservative Party, Brexit Party and UKIP all had manifestos wanting to retain that commitment, despite the lack of autonomy over defence it presents, we subsidise nations that contribute less, have no greater say in policy through that contribution, have weaponry on our soil we don’t control and a commitment to fight wars that are not ours to fight.....it’s a strange dissonance to believe control, democracy, sovereignty and contribution are maintained by one but not by the other.

In your opinion,

As the simple fact was Argentina was a pan American nation and so the us had naturally to be careful getting embroiled in what was a domestic issue just as we didn’t “help” them in Vietnam ( btw we did) .

You said earlier where we’re our nato allies during the falklands and I have just shown you the answer.
 
Now I’ll put it back to you can you name a time that the EU has come to our aid ? The ERM? Black Wednesday anyone
 
Btw im neither pro or anti EU im just sick of how polarised remain ( and to an extent) leave argument are the EU is far from perfect.

Clearly closer trading arrangements were key to keep the peace in a continent which had for the previous 100 odd years been savagely ripping itself to shreds.

This has gotta be a wind up... you think we are now free of being interfered with from third parties... aye them Russians pumping millions into the Tory party don’t want anything in return.... shees, none as blind as those that can’t see....
