Strikers that don’t score goals and at the other end a keeper that can’t make saves,

I thought we’d see the last of these charlatan keepers when we managed to off load guzan who was just shockingly bad but bettinelli looks like his cousin.

Sorry for the rant as defeats don’t usually bother me that much but that shambles yesterday had really shocked me as make no mistake Barr the goal that was as bad as we’ve looked in some time. The fact our first corner came late in the second half said it all.

Against a hapless derby side yet we looked like a pub team at times hoof chase hood chase and once again brit vanished into thin air the sooner we off load this charlatan of a striker the better.

Britt is a flat track bully who can’t play without another striker.
Akpom looks like he needs another striker to play alongside.

Betinelli needs his defence to inspire confidence.. stick Grant Hall in there ffs

I think we need to look at a player in the lower leagues that has a credible scoring record that is consistent and that has a good eye and just get them in.

I’d rather risk a player like that who yes is a risk then watch brit week in week out fall flat in the vain hope that today might his one good game in ten. That we see now.

Of the games I have watched this season, and that is most of them, yesterday was the worst performance I have seen from us. What made it so bad, was Derby were worse than we were.

Whilst the keeper was rubbish, the strikeforce were awful, in truth all over the pitch we looked like a pub team. The surface was bad, but come one, we couldn't pass 5 yards. Very dissappointing.

The one thing that does give me some hope for the playoffs is that, with a first 11, we are good enough for the playoffs. Tav and Fry are big misses at the moment. We played much better, if inconsistently, in the first half of the season, so we know we can string a couple of results together. I accept it is quite hard at the minute seeing where the next decent pass is coming from, never mind 3 points.

We need a striker who is good in the air. A lot of our chances come from out wide and we have invested in a lot of wingers. We also have excellent free kick delivery in McNair.

Akpom looks pretty hopeless at the minute. Britt is the best at holding the ball up with his back to goal, but has only had 2 really good games this season. Fletcher's probably the best in the air and at running the channels. The ball doesn't stick very well with him up front.

Bettinellis just got floppy hands and too many shots go through him. He's good at kicking.

I'd rather see a couple of steady Eddie's like dimi and Nugent in each position. Gregory playing yesterday would have done a decent job for us I think.

Was Akpom on the pitch long yesterday, or did he just run on and then straight back off? Because I don't remember seeing him after that

Bring on the cull, and not just those 3

Warnock seems hopeless when it comes to strikers, didn’t he blow a fortune on Glatzel and Gary F***ing madine at Cardiff?

Akpom didn’t make sense to me when we got him, I’m really hoping we didn’t sacrifice getting Cauley Woodrow to buy akpom.

Our problem is the midfield. All decent sides, wether attacking or defending, have a decent midfield.
Should it be a problem though? In Morsy and Howson we have 2 good midfielders, it’s just that third spot we need to sort, Saville is far too inconsistent and doesn’t offer much in any specialised area. He’s not a top passer, tackler or scorer just average at everything.

Morsy and Howson are ok, but they are no Grant and Clayts in their pomp.
If we had a midfield that could stamp their authority on a game then it'd put less stress on the back four and allow those infront of them more time on the ball. At the moment we go back to front, lose the ball and then the opposition come back at us too easily.
We might stumble upon the squad we all want at some point.
