Watford, Crystal Palace and Burnley also keen.‬

Wow - only ever seen glimpses with this lad and never quite convinced but another couple of million to keep the wolves from the door.

They report this every window.

They'll announce Burnley keeping tabs on Fry again soon.

I like Tav, but he's been very inconsistent for us and hasn't even nailed down a starting place in a struggling Championship team.

Nothing more than paper talk

He'll still be here next season, providing we stay in the championship mind

Tav's a strange one. He did have a good run in the side earlier in the season, when used as a box-to-box midfielder.

He's nowhere near as effective playing on the wing though.

If the price is right I'd be happy enough with the club cashing in, but I also do think there's potential there, as long as we use him in his best position.

Good little player is Tav. It'd do him no good to move to a premier League club at this time though. He hasn't nailed down a starting place at a championship club fighting relegation yet.
Completely agree with this, needs to show more consistency but looks really good in flashes. He's definitely going to improve and I can see why Prem teams are sniffing. One of the few players in our side that can carry the ball. A big added bonus is that he can finish.

He should be in the team every week mind in my opinion. Stick him and Roberts behind Fletcher/Britt, have Coulson and Spence bombing down the wings and we'll do well. And if they don't play well one week, have faith in them and play them the week after.

I like the idea of him partnering Browne in midfield, with Clayton in the holding role, and Roberts and Coulson either side of the striker.

Should give us the kind of youthful, energetic team Woodgate has been aiming for since taking over.

Don’t get why he keeps getting linked with premier league clubs. He’s a player who hasn’t established himself in a set position for a team struggling in the championship.

The gazettes article on him is laughable, saying it’s inevitable they would be prem clubs after him. Really why’s that? He hasn’t done much for me as of yet. He will be here next season. It’s a big season for him imo and if he doesn’t improve I’d be looking to move him on.

He is still a really young player and a quiet lad - so his confidence is really boosted by goals.
I wonder if he has an agent that keeps pushing him forward with these links.
Great place for him here to develop.

Some inconsistencies aside (which is pretty much the same for most young attacking players) I can see why some PL clubs are looking at him.

He has a lot of strengths; pace, direct, very mobile and scores different types of goals.

Only just turned 21 - I think it is easy to forget as he was so young when making his debut.
Am surprised someone has mentioned Marcus Browne. He is also only 21. But I don't see him ever playing for us again. That red card at Swansea was the last straw I think. He got booked then clearly went over to kick an opponent he felt had fouled him.
Minutes earlier Tav had put us back in the match with a great goal. It was a game and a passage of play with a great deal of significance for both players.

Definetly doesn’t have pace but he does score different types of goals. He isn’t quick at all tbh

I agree about the lack of pace, he occasionally manages to put the odd cluster of decent performances together, but is just too inconsistent. I get that he is young and there is time for him to develop, but his lack of awareness of what's going on around him frustrates me sometimes as he seems to often miss the best option (e.g a better placed player, time to release the pass etc). I'd sell for the right price but there is still time for him to improve.

I can’t believe there is any truth in this. If it were true then the club I am sure would take a good offer for him or anyone really, after all, they seem happy to accept bad offers too.

I think it is like the Fry linked to Burnley stories. Made up by reporters with nothing better to do right now. Tav has shown glimpses. To be fair I thought he looked far better when Pulis was here than under Woody.

He seemed to plateau last season, arguably gone a little backwards. He has shown glimpses, but has no pace. He has also looked a headless chicken at times too. I accept that is, In part, down to the quality of player around him too though, that and an inexperienced coach.
Tav seems to have a fair degree of arrogance about him, which as a footballer is a good thing on the pitch, but It also needs carefully managing both on and off it. I think he will be a Boro player next season, whenever that may be.
