Nissan says Brexit deal is 'positive' - and gives carmaker a 'competitive advantage'
The company says it is well positioned to capitalise on the Brexit deal and is set to create more jobs on Wearside.
Deserves its own thread this. I read it in the FT this morning and thought of posting it. Happy to share good news when it arrives![]()

Unilever Chief Executive has stated that the current the situation is “trivial” and just “teething problems” that will soon be ironed out
Utter fcuking tripeBecause people talking the country down and not giving their all to move on has a negative impact on not only themselves, but equally, if not more importantly, those around them that have no choice but to listen. You are as divisive as anyone Muttley, If Carry On Whinging were a film, you’d be one of the lead characters
Brexit though is like Dr King using rhetoric when preaching to the African Americans back in the day and telling his followers;Moving forward is better than moaning. Give it a try you may improve your thought process and outlook by years, even decades.

For some pro Brexit balance this is a great article in today's Guardian by Hanns Werner Sinn who serves on the German economy ministry's advisory council. He states, "EU's Covid vaccination debacle is down to institutional inflexibility"
At this point in time, not being part of the EU has meant millions have been vaccinated and many lives have and will be saved. In anyone's world that is a good thing.
Today's Guardian
This seems to back it up, those that were around were pro EU, thise that weren't but act like they were are against? The very old, those that actually fought in WW2, were very much in favour of staying in the EU because they appreciated the crucial role it played in avoiding another horrific European war.
Yeah, and when you lose your job mate or income you’ll be worried about more than broccoliBroccoli update: some in Teesside park Morrison’s.

Whilst I agree to a point and a collective drive to make the most of it will be the most productive approach; those on both sides have to be able to highlight where they have been failed by this government. If we just ignore the issues we are less likely to be able to make the necessary changes needed to limit the damage that Brexit inevitably will cause.I think whatever camp we were in, we now all need to move on.
Oooohhhhhh......Cooper boy you nearly said don’t like Brexit there.....be careful you facist. You nearly started to open your mind there....spiders & cobwebs a plenty![]()

We are a major trading nation, Brexit will likely lessen our standing to a degree but we will remain a major trading nation.Major trading nation? In your dreams.
If you substitute are for were, I would agree. We have just ditched our biggest trading partner. We are a major trading nation, Brexit will likely lessen our standing to a degree but we will remain a major trading nation.
Our entire modern economy is based and founded in part on the principles of free trade that will not change because of Brexit.
We will still trade with them! Brexit does not mean we cease to trade with the EU, it will just be more expensive to do so.If you substitute are for were, I would agree. We have just ditched our biggest trading partner.
