I awoke in the hour-before-dawn dark to realise that you cannot kill the cold virus with alcohol. A second realisation was that I had behaved in a wholly unacceptable manner yesterday and earlier in the week. Yes, I had retracted two of my 300+ statements.
That led me being branded a troll. Of course, what I should have done was to brazen it out, lie, dissemble or prevaricate. As SmallTown did when I challenged him to name a single book banned by this government. Here, the poster shifted the argument to changes in curriculum reading and ignored all other requests.
The fact that I could recall this, showed just how petty I have become and how far I have drifted (or been pushed) from my original intentions.
So it’s arrivaderla tutti.

What an odd announcement - is that a flounce?
 
A truly stupendous flounce. Top 10 on the new board surely. I’d say it highlights two things:
1. Boozing and posting doesn’t mix. In fact stay off the booze altogether.
2. Smalltown chases away another relatively decent poster with his trademark brand of passive aggression. I’d love to see the photos he has of admin. Then again, maybe not.

I wouldn't worry too much, they will probably be back again under another new username.

Seriously though, Im' sure nobody on here wants to see another one bite the dust but jeez it's a message board
and one, either, need to grow a bigger pair or don't drink, stay in bed until daylight and the absolute must..
Make Sure That You Get Up On The Right Side Of The Bed Before Posting.

This advice could save you from making a complete" **** " of yourself.

General observation to all posters.

Humans (especially those with significant testerone) are programmed to respond expecially when they feel they are getting verbally assualted. Imagine you are a wasp and someone pokes a stick in your nest. I have said before it is possible for posters to disagree without showing aggression, but some posters appear to be not interested in those sort of discussions and it can somewhat poison the board.
 
Shame that you had to troll SmallTown on your way out. Not the best way to argue that you aren't a troll.

Anyway, so long. Hope you aren't to upset about it all - I read the thread and you were on a hiding to nothing. You can't debate with the Anti-Starmers, they aren't for turning. Best to draw a line under it and try to move on. (y)

In real life social interaction nobody would behave like they do on here to fellow posters. We have to accept that sadly that’s how social media pans out. Trolls are dealt with well by admin when they go too far. Most of us are anonymous monikers after all and in here it can be a tough environment. You need a tough perspective to ride the inevitable challenges. Tip 1 though is to follow @MolteniArcore advice and not get involved in anti Starmer threads as you will have to deal with fire and brimstone at the pulpit.
