Boxing Day Attendance

It shows just how much a part of the fabric of life the football club is. I could sense the bond when I got off the train at Middlesbrough Station in 1978. If anything, its got stronger over the years through thick and thin.
Agree, in my lifetime the team has continued to have its traditional ups and downs but the bond with the fans seems to have got stronger and stronger.

I absolutely hate Leeds, but they have a massive fanbase. Though many fans do travel and they have some global appeal, Leeds is absolutely a football city.
If they had a 60k stadium they would fill it, especially if not stuck so far out of the city.
Sadly they are one of the only clubs capable of breaking into the elite.

I think the experience of Leeds for some on this thread is from a long long time ago. It is a big old place and has a strong identity/pride.
