Bournemouth up for sale

Yeah can’t see the attraction in buying them purely on fan base . Given premier league money Newcastle seems an obvious choice at around £300m ish if your crazy enough to want the liability of owning a club .

If Bournemouth owes £132m to a Russian billionaire and it does not own its own stadium who is going to pay any money for it. The players might be worth £50m and there are parachute payments worth £40m?. I could only see someone paying cash if the debt is written off.

I always felt Bournemouth spent a lot to get promoted in 2015, they were out bidding us for players and had a big squad for a team with crowds of 11k. They used a English chairman as their owner type figure, but the real money and onwership was Russian.

Mmmm - you`re right about the debt....who wants to buy debt?
What would happen if they ended up in administration?
Would they get thrown out the league?

I'm no financial expert, but apparently the club owes nothing to max demin. The ground was sold to a london based property company as a last resort when the fans "saved the club" all those years ago, and is leased back now on fairly good terms. Again, none of us know the truth, but the owner does appear to "care" for the club, but has probly been on the lookout for "good" purchasers for several years now, and that process is on-going in the background. Presumably he could sell it easier if afcb were in the PL, so he is trying to make a reasonable stab at that by investing in what he hopes is a reasonable new management team. as for the fans, like most clubs there is a split. some love the glory & the money of the PL, a lot of fans despise all it stands for, and are happy for the club to be at its natural level, never mind how low that is.
