All licensed premises in England and Wales are required by law to provide “free potable water” to their customers upon request. In Scotland a similar law exists but specifies “tap water fit for drinking”.

From now on he can ask for free water and, if the message gets out, so can loads of others without having to fork out.

I remember the early 90s at raves when they shut off the warer in toilets. So you had to buy the bottles because nobody was buying alcohol
