Legia were only offered 1000 tickets because of the trouble at AZ in the previous round, this ***ed off their ultras and fanbase. I'm not sure why but the tickets hadn't been distributed before the game they were leaving it until the fans with their name on the tickets arrived at the ground , then 2500-3000 turned up with the attitude and motto "All in or no one in", you can't safely get the designated fans into the ground in those conditions.

Sounds like poor organisation, planning to hand out tickets to people in the coach park, not a good idea when there is likely to be loads of people without tickets in the same area and especially when their hooligans are known for kicking off.

There were extra police on duty due to previous violence, why weren’t they strategically deployed?

Of course not, the ticket distribution ’plan’ seemed geared to set the scene for this mini riot.

A police cordon checking proof of ticket purchase at least would have screened ordinary fans through?
