Prices dropped now from £10 for adults and £5 for children to £5 and £1. When was this change announced ? Poor ticket sales from the look of it.

Its standard Newcastle attracted 22k last weekend v Portsmouth for a cup semi final charging £5 adults £1 kids

They play hashtag United FC in the final (who ever they are) at Luton Town FC after beating Halifax in the other semi final.

I checked and our ladies crashed out in the Preliminary rounds in August at Huddesfield

Just looked them up. Very interesting. Founded by a YouTuber, Spencer Owen, they now put out 40 sides

its a shame its on mothers day, would've took my little boy. But, we have other plans that day

I wonder if they'll move the York game (last game of the season) to the Riverside if promotion is still on

It's a shame that there are some very tasty PL matches on at the same time, because I'd definitely have been tempted otherwise.

It might be a good idea to get behind the Boro women's team if you are not renewing your ST and show the club that people will turn out if the prices are right.
They really need everyone's support. Both to help them on in their quest for promotion but also to help establish the Riverside as their home. Or home from home.

Yeah, seems a bizarre decision to put it on on Mother's day.
We would have gone if it wasn't.
But couldn't this be the perfect Mother's Day gift for the many, many football mothers out there.
The team's own captain spoke with me about her pride at taking her child out onto the pitch with her as she led the team out for their first Riverside game v Stockport at the start of the season.
Am going to see if I can find the interview with skipper Sarah Burn.

This is what Boro Women skipper Sarah Burn said looking forward to next week's Riverside fixture...

Q: It must be special to play at the Riverside in front of a big crowd and for you as captain bringing the team out onto the pitch?

SB:
On a personal level it is fantastic. Last time I walked out with my daughter so it was a proud moment and being able to look down and see her little face looking at the big grass and the people looking up shouting and she is cheering. But it is the bigger picture for me and it is everything else. What happens after that. Them people in the stands watching and the young girls, males whoever that are inspired by football and carrying on their journey or completely new to football and just think actually after that game I am going to pick up a football and I am going to play because that is what it is about.

Walking the team out is always a proud moment. It was fantastic last time but we are all just doing it just for the growth of the women's game and the love and the passion that we have right now.

I love her reply - We desperately need another emoji that is better than a like.

Yeah, maybe so but as above people will have already made plans etc.

Great shame - I did announce this back on Feb 7th when there was a big press launch at the Riverside. I published a trio of interviews looking ahead to this game and also the game the weekend after at home to Barnsley. These things can easily get lost can't they and overlooked.
But try and get along to the next home game - I know MFC Foundation are having a takeover of sponsorship etc for the next but one home game (will be at Stockton).

Interview with new s\Boro Women striker signing, Fay Dale.

Q: Tell me a bit about yourself, please.

FD:
I am Faye Dale. I am a striker.

Q: And you have recently signed?

FD:
Yes, just signed.

Q: What is it like to come into a club that has developed so quickly. Transformed in fact and now of course are top of the league?

FD:
Yes, it is exciting to be a part of. I was at Middlesbrough a few seasons ago and they obviously didn't have the backing that they do now and it is massive. Really exciting to be a part of.

Q: You must see a big change from when you were last at the club.

FD:
Of course I have. It is a step in the right direction for women's football and for the club.

Q: And of course women's football as a whole has completely changed through short the time you have been playing hasn't it.

FD:
Yes, it is massive.I feel we are hitting it at a perfect time when men's teams are supporting women's teams just as they should. The north east; Newcastle, Sunderland are doing really well and it is a great opportunity.

Q: The team has bee very much among the goals recently, so you are hoping to add more.... no pressure. (Faye laughs)

FD:
No pressure, no. I am just hoping that I can help the team and do what I can.

Q: Are you looking forward to playing in this place, The Riverside?

FD:
Yes, of course I am. It is a great opportunity for me, for the team and for women's football in general. It's obviously on the lift, on the up and it is great to be a part of. We want as many people supporting us and backing us as we can.

Q: We want to stay in that top spot, don't we?

FD:
Of course we do. Well, everyone in the league wants to get promoted don't they but I think it is ours for the taking and I don't see why we wouldn't.

Q: Great to hear.
